I have seen a few threads on this, but I am wondering if it as prominent as it seems to me. My Malibal P170EM had been having issues with keyboard response (some keys don't register unless pressed really hard) and I had the first keyboard RMA'd and replaced it myself. Now, the new keyboard is doing the same thing, but with different keys. The first time it was the M, N, G, and H that were causing problems, and this time it is the T, Backspace, and the numbers 4-8 (not the num pad). Since it is different keys this time, I assumed that it is not a laptop issue, but just another defective keyboard. I tried reseating the cables several times, to no avail. I ordered another replacement today, so we will see how that goes.
So I guess my question is, have a lot of you guys had this issue? 2 out of 2 defective keyboards seems like pretty terrible quality control, especially for a ~$2200 laptop.

Same issue bought mine (np9150) from xoticpc, my solution was to order 2 keyboards that have been pre-tested by mythlogic (bought from mythlogic).
I ordered both the ss chiclet and the standard Kb. Just to personally see which is better.

hi kismat, I could not find a private message button on your profile or your email.
I read your post about buying a laptop from xotic using a kuwaiti bank.
Could you tell me what bank you used? And why couldn't you just do the wire transfer online? ? NBK offers this if I am not mistaken.
