I used my trusty laptop yesterday and today the screen does not display anything!!
The backlight comes on and I can hear the windows sound when I reboot.. But I see nothing on the screen.

I am on the rd so I can't check much but I did look manage to pull the video card out and reseat it...no luck.

When I get home I will hook it up to my TV and see if I get anything.
If I do then I guess it is new screen time.

What do you guys think is a good replacement screen if I need to go that route.
Also what else should I check?

    Thanks!

You can also try reseating the cable the connects the screen to the motherboard.

Exactly. We had a system come in with the exact same problem as yours, OP, and all it was was a loose connection (they occur most commonly at the LCD screen itself rather than at the motherboard).

Thanks guys....I will check that when I get home.

The screen is a little scratched up so I might go with a new screen...and you can recommend?

    Thanks!

Yepper...that was the problem.. It did not appear loose but after a little wiggling the screen camera on.

    Thanks for the help!

The AUO 90% gamut display is the most sort after compatible display for that model.
