    Hello

Sorry for my english, is not my mother language.

    I try to upgrade the RAM of my P170 EM actually I have 16 go ( 2 X8 ) if I add 8 go 1 X8 or 16 go 2 x8 the computer won't boot I don't passed the manufacturer screen.
So I decided tu upgrade the bios :
    on begining I have Bios revision : 1.00.05 and KBC/EC 1.00.05
I've finished to upgrade the KBC/EC to 1.00.06
But impossible to ugrade the BIOS I have the error message :
PDR Region does not exist. Error 25: The host CPU does not have write access to the target flash area

I search on internet I try a lot of different bios but nothing...
If you have a solution I'm interessed

    Regards

The bios update is not your problem. What's blocking you though is you need to first run MESET.exe so that the ME FW section can flash after reboot.

In general having more RAM is less stable, and that sounds like your issue. To make sure the new RAM is not the problem though, try seeing if the computer boots with the old RAM removed, and only the new RAM installed.

That is slow ram and the laptop should have no issue with it. You either received a bad ram stick, or have a bad slot on the motherboard.

I tested indivually all DIMMs on all port it's ok
If I install 2 DIMMs under the keybord it's ok
If I install 2 DIMMs on slot under the pc it's ok
If I Install 1 DIMMs under the keyboard and 1 DIMMs under the PC it's ok
But if I had a theird DIMMs (under the keyboard or under the pc ) the pc don't boot

You might need to reach out to a French reseller, they should be able to help you.

I mean if you know how to read that sort of code you could try. But otherwise you need a file.
