    Hey guys,

I need some urgent advice. I am going on a very important business trip next week and just managed to completely destroy my laptop screen. Amazing, I know. Rest of the beast seems to be working fine; it fell a short distance after I whacked it with the adapter, apparently.

This seems like a good time for me to upgrade to a matte screen. In any case, I don't have hours to research what to order and how to do it, etc, because I have about 16 hours of prep work to do for the business trip. Can an awesome dude or dudette please tell me exactly what I need to buy to replace my screen and perhaps scrounge up some instructions? Extra points if I can get this from a vendor who can ship today. Let me know if you need any more info.

Edit: I live in South Carolina; trip will be to Miami (will have time to pick up something there).

    Thanks,

    Max

telling everyone what area you live might help so they can advise on any suppliers near you.

OK, I did a bit of research and have found a lot of positive feedback on the AU Optronics B173HW01 V.5 and a thread with installation instructions. My only question at this point is whether I can replace the screen myself at no risk to MALIBAL extended warranty?

Double check with them, but replacing it yourself would only void the screen warranty.. At least that's how most Sager/Clevo warranties work. They may have something different in the fine print ;)
