    Hello everyone

These gray horizontal bars occured suddenly on the screen of my P170EM a year ago. They are completely static and do not flicker. At lower resolutions, the lines appear darker. They are not present when I use an external monitor. Is it possible that it is an issue with the cable or is it more likely it is a problem with the screen itself?

You can try re-seating the cable but likely it's your panel itself. The images are broken by the way.

    Thank you for your answer!

The images can be seen buy opening the links in a new tab.

I think it is time for me to buy a new laptop :)

Maybe but the panel/cable are not expensive fixes.

That will fit yes though what exact panel they give you will vary.

Cable check local resellers like xmg.

Screen replacements are actually fairly simple, the cable is more difficult.
