Noticed my Bluetooth wasn't working, went into Control Panel and checked Device Manager. Says hardware not installed. I disabled then it wouldn't let me enable since it still didn't recognize BT hardware. Opened the case, pulled the card (Intel 7260), reinstalled, restart, still a no go. Reinstalled the driver, restart, and now I don't even see BT in Device Manager. Is it the 7260 card? WiFi is fine, just no BT. I don't want to start fiddling and screw it up any more since I'm no expert at troubleshooting.
If it is the 7260 card, should I get a 7265 or just swap the 7260 for another?

Did you download the version that only has the software and driver just for the wifi from Intel's site? They have one listed for wifi / proset tools, and one listed for bluetooth drivers. Also, did you try maybe using an older version of the driver possibly?

So far I've only tried the BT driver from Intel. I haven't been able to uninstall the previous drivers, can't find them now that the computer no longer recognizes BT hardware. I've downloaded the wifi/proset tools from Intel and the old driver from Clevo but haven't tried those yet. Not sure if I'd mess anything up without uninstalling the old driver first.

What happens if you use the FN + F12 keyboard shortcut?

FN + F12 got it to bring up BT in Device Manager again, it wasn't there, even hidden, after I installed the Intel BT driver. Still said hardware wasn't installed. Got it working now, hopefully. Did a little more searching online and downloaded Intel Driver Update Utility. Got the newest drivers for Proset and BT now it looks like everything works. I'll be testing everything a little more today. Funny, the driver I downloaded through the update utility was newer than the one shown by Intel in a list view on another page as the "newest" driver.
Wouldn't have been a big deal for the most part but cell carrier won't allow enabling native hotspot with my unlimited data plan. Then Motorola made changes to Android and apps that should allow wifi hotspot don't work on my new phone, only BT or USB tethering. I do a lot of traveling with my daughter and tether our tablets and my other phone to the unlimited data phone. Now I just have to wait for the app developer to fix the hotspot issue so I can run chromecast and a few other devices on the road.
Thanks for the help guys. -

Not a problem, the FN + F12 is a firmware switch to disable the bluetooth which is why it would not appear
