    Hi everybody,

I plan to buy a new laptop to replace my Asus G73Jh and as soon as I found out about Clevo, it appeared to me there is no other choice :)
So, I have decided to go with a 17 inches laptop, powered by a 780M. The P177SM seems to be a good fit but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a better investment to go with a P375SM and be able to upgrade to a SLI configuration later.

With that in mind, I asked reflexnotebook.ca if it is possible to do the upgrade later, by just adding a second 780M. They answered to me that they are not sure if it is as simple as putting an additional card and also that I will have to buy a second PSU (170$) if I want optimal performance with SLI (this part seems a bit strange to me, I would believe that a PSU is powerful enough or not, nothing to do with performance).

Anyway, if somebody could give me some advice about this, it would be nice!

(And if some Canadian want to share where they bought their Clevo they are welcome :) I've kind of lost confidence in this seller and we don't have a lot of choice here...)

    Thank you.

A single AC adapter should be all you need even with dual video cards. The 9570 does have the option for dual PSU but thats because it uses a true desktop CPU which have a higher power draw. The NP9390 uses a mobile CPU which a single PSU can handle.

OK, so this means a P375SM comes with the same PSU (I think 330W) even if I choose to have a single 780M to begin with ?
And what about the upgrade process to add the second GPU ? Can I just order a card anywhere and plug it ? What about the heatsink ? I guess they won't put one if there is no card, can we order it separately later ?
A lot of questions I know, but it's quite a big investment and I would like to be sure :)
    Thank you for your help.

Yes its the same PSU regardless of the GPU configuration you start with.
When you get the second GPU get it from your reseller or at least once made for Clevo models, and get the upgrade kit so it will include the second heatsink.

The dual PSU is only really meant for those who want to make it draw more power with overclocking.

Right. The collective power requirement/draw from said components can be provided by a single adapter for the most part, but in more extreme use, the dual is required for the extra load and/or overclocking. :)
