So, my P640re will not start. Power it on, fans start up, the bios does not load and the charger light goes to a blinking orange with the fans still spinning till the computer powers off. I am trying to work out what is happening. Is it the ram or is it something else?

    Any thoughts would be welcome.

BIOS not loading suggests to me a hardware issue. Try reseating what you can, and check for damage.

I have reseated everything, changed the thermal paste, there was no signs of damage or scoring. I am wondering if it's the ram in particular but don't have any way to test it.

If you have two sticks test each one at a time in each memory slot. If no config boots it's likely a motherboard fault.
