So I've been trying to fish out a fairly rare P650 config and in my search spoke to Paulo at ClevoCenter.
According to him (and common sense as well I guess), P650 is on EOL, explaining the low stock at pretty much all resellers I've checked. Although some (Obsidian) still expect addition batches from Clevo.
This (I guess disappointing) news brings me to the question: what's the replacement? Paulo mentioned the MaxQ Clevo as an indirect replacement, but we all understand that's just not a proper stand-in for such a powerful machine as a P650.
    Anyone's got news/rumors to share?
(PS: with all this, should I still consider getting a P650?)

True, albeit not surprising if that is the intention.

I don't know anything about a phase out just yet, but if it is facing EOL, getting one now with an extended warranty is a safer bet than waiting to see what plays out. The warranty should be honored whether the system is discontinued or not.

It's been around since Kepler, so it's not overly surprising. I haven't heard anything about a successor though either.

The P950 would be a disappointment.

I guess it would probably also mean slimmer prospects for future tweaks, Prema bios etc.
Not a good time overall for a significant laptop investment, what with Coffee Lake incoming and MaxQ unfolding.
Yeah, I had a look, but your european pricing is out of hand :(

The P650 is not EOL - it's up to each company to decide how much they purchase and hold in stock, but we don't have any shortage ;-) Also just for clarification, the MAX-Q models, including the P950 and P957HR that Eurocom linked to haven't replaced the P650 model.
