    Hey guys,

I bought this Sager NP8157(P650HS-G) last August, and few weeks ago I suddenly came across frequent software crashes... including Chrome, when watching youtube, and games like PUBG.. One thing I noticed is that the crash only takes place when the GPU clock and memory clock boost themselves to the default maximum, 1442MHz and 4004MHz respectively.

I tried updating BIOS, reinstalling the system and changing to an identical power adapter, which neither worked... Currently the only solution is to unplug the power cord, and for the frequencies to be then lowered, in order to retain stability. Sometimes lowering the GPU clock also worked, crashes do also occur.

    did anyone encounter this?
    many thanks

Your max boost is something like 1898MHz not 1442. You crashing at 1442 likely signifies a bad GPU. Put it up for RMA

    Thanks a lot!
I lately recorded 1860MHz, and the game maintained running, only until the memory clock risen to 4007MHz the game crashed.. Compared to the default maximum of 4004MHz, is this significant?

Yes, if you don't adjust your memory clocks then it means you're failing stock. RMA it. Probably bad micron memory on your 1070N or something.
