Hey guys i was about to buy a Clevo P650SE, but today at the shop i noticed the P751ZM has a configuration that is almost at the same price as the P650SE.

    Clevo P650SE

    i7-4720HQ
    8GB Ram
    GTX 970M 3GB

    1254€

    Clevo P751ZM

    Intel Xeon E3-1220 V3 3.1Ghz-3.5Ghz 8MB - 80W
    8GB Ram
    GTX 970M 6GB

    1335,78€

What do you guys think? Is the difference worth the money? The laptop is mostly for gaming and the portability isn't very important.

From where you going to buy? I'd personally go with P751Zm due to future upgradability. P751Zm also support upcoming broadwell cpu's (not official yet)

No i can't buy without CPU, wish i could. :p

    Intel i5 4690K 3.5Ghz-3.9Ghz 6MB - 88W +43,05 €
    Intel i7 4790S 3.2Ghz-4Ghz 8MB - 65W +129,15 €
    Intel i7 4790T 2.7Ghz-3.9Ghz 8MB - 45W +129,15 €
    Intel i7 4790K 4Ghz-4.4Ghz 8MB - 88W +166,05 €
    Intel Xeon E3-1270 V3 3.5Ghz-3.9Ghz 8MB - 80W +166,05 €

My budge is a bit limited so that's why i'm thinking about the basic one, and later on upgrade it. Will this cause me any problems playing games?

I'd rather still buy here near me since it's easier for me to get support on it.

Since gaming is the heaviest thing i'm doing on this laptop, won't it make any difference then? And maybe upgrade in a few years once the new CPU's are out?

Just be aware that while broadwell may be supported (not confirmed) no future generations of CPU will work in the machine, so the advantage of waiting would be perhaps paying less.

I would suggest the P751ZM.. Get the 4790K and 970M for now.. The ability to upgrade the CPU+GPU is worth it IMO...

if its just gaming u want and have a tight budget then by all means get urself the 4690K! most games dont use hyperthreading anyways (i7 exclusive feature) and ull be able to overclock the CPU, most likely making any cpu upgrade unnecessary in the future :)

and yeah, needless to say....OF COURSE get urself the batman! :p

Thanks to everyone for the quick answers. I will probably do what jaybee said and get the 4690k and the 970M

Will the premamod bios be available for this laptop soon? Does it increase a lot the GPU's performance?
Jaybee you have the Batman right? What do you think of the build quality and the temperatures?

i dont have it yet, just ordered unfortunately ;) u should ask bigspin / embrace the darkness / others in the batcave, they already have the machine :) build quality seems to be pretty good thus far.

prema bios mod will definitely be available for batman, prema is already working on it. vbios mod for the 970M mxm is already available at premas website, just check it out ;)
overclocking ability depends on each and every single gpu, no two are alike. 20% boost should definitely be doable though
