    Hi all.

In the near future i'll be upgrading from my MSI GT72 laptop to something a bit "smaller". I'll likely end up getting the P650 or 670 (From the Australian reseller Metabox) to replace it. My biggest gripe with my current laptop (apart from it's size) is the keyboard. I'm a fan of steelseries, but the keyboard on this laptop is not great, it feels mushy and when typing it sounds more like thudding than actual keystrokes. so I'm wanting to know what you feel about the keyboard they use, in terms of feel, typing sound and deck flex. Notebookcheck is a great resource but they don't really go into much about the keyboard except saying it's "good" or "what's expected"

I'm not expecting it to be as good as a premium laptop, like a macbook or xps, but a good keyboard is probably the most crucial thing to me on a laptop

also in regards to the back lighting, does white look white or does it have the weird yellowish tinge that RGB LEDs tend to make.

    thanks

Having owned both a Clevo P670 and now an MSI GT73, the keyboards feel virtually identical to me. For what it's worth, I like both of them, much more in fact than the ones Clevo uses on its flagship P775 and P870. One advantage Clevo has over its MSI counterparts is the fact that the keyboards are easy to remove to access RAM and/or storage expansion slots on the underside (top?) of the motherboard. Comparable MSI models, save for the GT83 Titan (which has an authentic mechanical keyboard) require a near-complete disassembly to access those ports.

I love my P650RS keyboard. Way way better than the Clevo P7XX and P8XX models imo. The MSI ones are alright, but some people say they're the best period, and I don't feel that way.

Keyboards can be quite subjective. Just look at all the different mechanisms out there for mechanical switches.
