Hi, is it normal for P750DM-g to lose it's overclock at startup? From bios i am able to set my delidded 6700k to 4.7 at 1.28V but by the time i get to windows it goes down to 3.99 (with boost to 4.2) unless i run XTU. When i do run XTU my voltage jumps erratically, sometimes briefly going up to 1.43 which i know is quite high. What's the best way to overclock this machine with locked voltage? i wanna keep mine below 1.3.
is there a way to undervolt the GTX 980M as well through afterburner? i am able to undeclock but there are no options for undervolting.
I also tried running throttlestop 8.6 but it doesn't follow the multiplier settings so i just reverted to XTU.
Thanks for the replies!

I might be wrong, but I think you need a modded BIOS/EC to fix this issue, another user here had the same issue with his P750DM and was not fixable without premamod.

Hi, i tried tinkering with it even more, it turns out just using a voltage offset at xtu would keep the voltages more stable. I added a.020 mv offset and the voltage hovers around 1.29-1.315 stil a bit higher but it doesn't go upto 1.435 anymore, hehe a huge relief. thanks for your replies!

I run my chip with a decent (-125mv) offset at 5GHz. While the values are different earlier generations benefitted from an undervolt too.

Thanks Meaker! i do get some instabilities already at +.020mv will be adding just a tad more to make it stable. I really need the single core speed for my work, i'll probaby just taper the multi core boost speeds.

you have an awesome chip btw if you can udervolt by that much at 5ghz
