I have a faulty intermittent screen that flashes noise and wont display. Have to use an external monitor. I opened the screen case after figuring out the hidden screws. Reseated that cable connector. I need to get access to the motherboard to reseat the cable there. How do I do this ? There is nothing in the service manual. Does it require taking the keyboard off first somehow ?

You will need to take the keyboard out yes with the keyboard screws marked on the back and then push through to push it up.
