    Hey everyone,

    Got a issue I haven't experienced before.

The laptop just strait freezes, ctrl-alt-delete, etc does nothing, only directly holding the power button will reset it.

At first it did it when I opened Throttle stop and I was wondering if I undervolted it too much, so I adjusted it back to -120mv which it never had any issues with, especially at stock frequencies. Then it would just freeze/hang within a couple minutes of starting the laptop regardless of what I was doing.

So I went to bios reset to default settings hoping that would help.

I also took it apart cleaned out all the Liquid metal on the CPU and GPU, repasted without any LM just incase that was an issue, tried to make sure everything looked clear.

Now it will freeze in bios, on bios splash screen or just on the black screen. Not even start windows.

So I am kind of stumped. I didn't have GPU dying symptoms that I am used to or motherboard ones, not sure what to make of it.

Oh wait! I have a 7700k still, I'll throw that in, instead of the 8086k and see if that helps.

So popped in the 7700k thinking that maybe the pin covering of the 8086k might have moved and caused the issue.

Now I get the colorful lines across the screen that we know that means a pooped GPU.

    :( :(
