    Hi all

Does any know whether disconnecting the video cable from my laptop's integrated screen will redirect the video output to HDMI?

I would like to be able to see the BIOS (UEFI) config screen along with the POST messages etc on my external monitor either via HDMI, DP1 or DP2 (I have all 3 ports). Currently, this happens only on the laptop's built-in display and the only way I can switch to HDMI is after the OS has loaded which is not what I want. I want the default output to either be HDMI, DP1 or DP2. I have no VGA port.

I do not have an option in the BIOS to tell the system to redirect the output to HDMI by default and the FN+x keys do not help me either so I am intending to take my own steps and void the warranty to make this feature a reality so I want to know whether disconnecting the video cable will make this happen? I don't want to disassemble the screen for nothing (I haven't done this before but I have seen some videos).

My laptop is a rebranded Clevo P750DM2-G laptop with an nVIDIA GTX 1060M and an i7-7700k CPU.
