Came home and tried to power my laptop was off and I had left it on.. It will not boot up. Lights flashing on system with nothing showing on the screen. I pulled the power and battery. Held down the power button for 1 minute then replaced battery and power and tried to bring it up. Same thing. Removed battery and power, pulled bottom RAM and retested. Same. Pulled keyboard, same result. Pulled hard drives, same thing. Removed all RAM and tried again. Same result.
No beep codes, just nonstop flashing of caps and num lock.

Sounds like a bad board. You can try another CPU if you have one available. Beyond that, I think the board will either need reworked or replaced.

Thanks. No CPU available to try. Going to pull it completely apart and check it out to see if there is signs of thermal damage or anything like that.
Any idea how much a replacement board is for this thing? It is out of warranty by 2 months. -

You would want to contact your seller where the computer was purchased from for pricing on a motherboard. But I was thinking the same thing, that it might be signs of the motherboard unfortunately.

I am looking at secondary sources for a new laptop motherboard. I know I had the 4k screen so that is easy to figure out. How can I tell if it is the -G or the plain 750ZM?

Well, I took it all apart and I am getting farther. It now powers up, fans go to full speed and then the caps, scroll and num lock flash. I am guessing this is a case of I am SOL.

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!
I pulled all power to the motherboard - battery, AC AND CMOS battery, let it sit for 24 hours, held down the power button for 1 minute, let go, put the batteries back in and it booted up without an issue! Minor miracles and just in time for me to head to Mexico for field school!jaybee83 and i_pk_pjers_i like this. -

@flyboynm - I stand corrected! Very glad that the board is showing signs of life again. Good luck in Mexico!

Thank you! As a tech that has worked in this industry as long as I have, I was surprised I didn't think of the CMOS battery being removed. I remember having done this type of thing with old Powerbooks but hadn't had to deal with it in years. Sometimes remembering previous experience works!
