Hi I was interested in buying the p150sm with a gtx 980 but found they were discontinued. I found the p750zm but wasn't happy with the reviewed battery life of under 2 hours compared to the 4 hours on the p150sm-a. Is the reviewed battery life 120 mins during gaming or surfing the web/ movies ect?

The P750ZM has a desktop CPU.. also the Intel iGPU is disabled and hence 2 hours battery life is the top amount you get in web surfing!

P750ZM is not for the "mobile warrior". It's a desktop replacement for having maximum portable performance. 3D gaming on battery has never been much of a reality or good idea really. I've done it, and it's possible, but just not a good experience.

I disagree. It's a very versatile warrior that needs to have a plug nearby. Thus, maximum portable performance, rather a portable desktop.

One technology that might've been worth waiting for is type c USB. If the charging part works out. Batteries the size a laptop with, or heck even laptop coolers but also performing as a ba5ery might be viable. Makes these machines more portable, albeit heavy. Still worth it for A mobile warrior that can handle the weight.

Type C max power is 100W, so it's unlikely to work with DTRs like P7xx...
Though I certainly wouldn't mind to have at least one cable less for docking plug (at least combine video out and USB even if power supply can't be).

    For charging. Not powering.

Due to the low life and battery size it would not be practical really, having the charger with you is a better idea still and is much more efficient in area than multiple USB connections for power.

And how this will suppose to work? You mean put a USB PD circuitry which will be usable only if laptop turned off? Its very unlikely manufacturer will do this, since average user will consider it useless gimmick.

Probably wouldn't work on power hungry systems like these but others that required 180w PSU or less. Could help with hot swapping or putting a USB type c into batteries so charge extra battery when not using.

You mentioned you were looking at the p150sm with a gtx 980, the P150SM-A is available and has the 980M as an option. It also goes by the Sager NP8268. Check that out and you may be able to get what you originally wanted.

A mobile warrior usually refers to someone that needs to go unplugged for extended periods. This laptop does not qualify. If you go from wall plug to wall plug, then sure, but it's not real practical for some people like the OP is requesting.

You and I are defining warrior a little differently. I went with batman because of it's power, versatility and basically UPS battery. Would've been nice if batman could pull down 3h easily, but heck not many clevo laptop's can pull even 6h+ away from the plug.
