    Hey guys!

So I got this laptop, I have Windows 10 installed and fully updated as well as all the system drivers.

I don't have any weird software installed right now, apart from the Clevo Control Center, Chrome, Steam and Origin.

However my computer does not shut down. Not once has it shut down with no issues. It just hangs with a black screen and the keyboard lights on.

Any idea how I can trace the problem and fix it? Thanks!

    Hey man! You can:
    1) Search for 'Power Settings' in the windows search bar
    2) Click on “Change what the power buttons do.”
    3) Click “Change settings that are currently unavailable.”
    4) Under Shutdown settings, uncheck the box next to “Turn on fast startup (recommended.)”
    5) Apply and check if it solved your problem.

    Good luck!

Conversations with myself go very differently than this. I wish I had the relationship with myself that you have with yourself. :vbtongue:

Shark00n, yes, disabling Fast Startup is the goal of disabling Hibernation, but without disabling Hibernation you are still using 1x memory in hiberfil.sys hidden file on root of C: partition. That's why I suggested disabling Hibernation instead of Fast Startup directly, kills 2 or 3 birds with 1 command:

Run As Administrator a cmd window:

    powercfg /h off

or, if you get an error, use this instead:

powershell -Command "Start-Process 'powercfg.exe' -Verb runAs -ArgumentList '/h off'"

Glad that ended up fixing your shutdown problems :)

Thanks man. I'll wait for the next BIOS update to disable my change and see if it's BIOS related. If the issue persists I will do the powercfg command
