My P775DM-3G from PCSpecialist was G-Sync enabled. It had the 4K panel inside. AUO B173ZAN01.1 to be precise.

Unfortunately I managed to apply to much physical pressure on the screen by accident, which messed it up badly, so I needed a replacement.

I found a good supplier on Alibaba, that had the panel at a good price, it arrived yesterday and works fine.

However being the stupid old me I ordered the B173ZAN01.4 panel instead of the B173ZAN01.1 (supplier had both) as I thought that the newer revision = better panel. And now I'm finding that I don't have G-Sync.

Doing some searching I found this tread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/installed-4k-auo-screen-in-p775dm3-g-no-g-sync.798479/page-5

From it, according to @Meaker@Sager I gather that I messed up, and I can say bye bye to G-Sync, due to G-Sync being locked to the precise screen model that was originally in the laptop. However seeing as that thread is from 2018 I thought I'd ask.

Is there a way to somehow force enable G-Sync for me?

No way of forcing it unless that panel was in a newer version of the machine and updating the BIOS to then. Unlikely though.
