    I believe the xeons require the c series chipset now.

    You are correct @Meaker@Sager. Xeon CPU requires a C series chipset since Haswell CPUs.

    So are the options only the i3 i5 and i7 LGA 1151 ?

    Yep, and if you want 8th gen CPUs you will need a bios and pin mods.
