    Hi,

I am getting 30-35 fps in all of my games on the p775dm3-g. It started yesterday and have not found a solution yet. The utilization in my games is way off the cpu and gpu clocks are not kicking in. Temps are fine it seems. I have set the clocks on my cpu in the clevo oc software to 40, 40, 38, 38. Cache to 40. On the clevo software it says the turbo kicks in at 2.8GHz which is strange. I have tried putting the laptop on performance mode and setting the nvidia control panel to max performance with no luck. It was working fine the day i got it and then it just tanked and has not worked properly since. I only have 4 days to request a send back so if i cant fix the issue today its going back.

    I7 6700k
    Gtx 1080
    16GB ram
    Windows 10

    #Update,

Resetting the laptop and will reinstall all the software. I have no idea why the fps tanked when i booted the laptop today though. I am unable to find any bios updates for this model or refined drivers yet.

That's probably the problem. The Clevo Control panel is rubbish and altering things in the overclocking software tends to make them run slower. I've removed the version that comes with the laptop and download the one ending in .50 from the Clevo p771 download section. It removes overclocking options but at least everything runs as it should

I think the clevo OC software has wrecked my CPU its definitely done something and i cant get into my bios not sure what button it is but it seems like the software has changed the values permanently and theirs a load of other issues.

You need to bash the F2 button really fast and I mean faster than any other laptop to get not the BIOS of the P775DM BIOS.

Clevo Control center has nothing to do with it

Go to the Clevo.com.tw website, then choose 'Services', then 'Downloads'. Then scroll down to 'P75xDM....' and you will find the control centre ending in .50 in there.

For now don't install the new Clevo Control Center. You don't really need it and would be better to do testing without it installed. The only thing it is good for is keyboard lighting changes.

So, uninstall it and F2 into BIOS and press the button to apply defaults, save and exit. See if it runs right before reinstalling any verson of Clevo Control Center.

Make sure you select the performance profile and then set the power level in the control centre to high performance if you want the machine to go full pelt.

Or just hold it down. Someone told me that holding it down does not work on some [older] models. I have yet to encounter one.

Shift + restart should still work like it did in W8, that's a little less stressful. Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > UEFI Firmware Settings and you're in.
