Bought this laptop and received it today, no g-sync option in my nvidia panel.

    Came with:
    Monitor Name: LG Philips LP173WF4-SPF1

    Bios: 1.06.02
    EC: 1.06.01

    Any ideas?

Is that new from a re-seller?
That screen is in fact a G-SYNC screen so you either need to update your BIOS/EC or there´s something wrong with your windows install.

Yep from a portuguese retailer. Can it be that Windows 10 LTSB is the culprit? (installed by myself)

    The bios/ec is the latest

    Edit: EC1 updated to 1.06.01

Second EC updated from 1.05.01 to 1.06.01

Tried to clean install nvidia drivers and still nothing. Will format with windows 10 pro and post feedback

I'd say that's the most likely suspect. I had Windows 10 Enterprise (non LTSB) on my Clevo and G-Sync showed in the control panel with no issue.

No, it was the next model down, the P670RS-G with 1080p/75 Hz G-Sync screen.

If you're running GeForce 382.05 driver or newer, roll back/clean install to a 381.xx version, or even a 378.xx one.

Tomorrow I'll get it sorted. Either wait for a new LCD replacement or a full unit replacement :)

Might be quicker/simpler to swap the panel out than mess with the EDID anyway. Let us know how it goes.

Well the unit is still under warranty right? Then just contact the re-seller.
It´s hard to believe, i wonder what kind of testing are re-sellers doing before shipping the systems.

They will send me a new LCD! The LCD only presents a refresh rate of 60hz... and should be 75Hz... Its messed up somehow. I'll get it replaced and as soon as i do, i'll update this thread :)

    LG Philips LP173WF4-SPF1

Flashing the latest BIOS and EC fixed the issue

    BIOS: 1.06.11
    EC: 1.06.06
