    Hello

I recently scratched the lid of the laptop :( I am talking about the plastic cover behind the monitor the main upper lid of the laptop... I tried to get creative and tried to rub it off with car polish compound (yeah bad idea) and it left it worst :( Now i got this shinny spot (on a flat mat finish) that's really bothering me. I tried looking for it online without any luck (hopefully I it doesn't come with the screen as an assembly.

Do any of you guys know where I can order one ? and also, would that be difficult to install? how much of the laptop would u have to tear-down?

    thanks Guys

You could ask your reseller if they could repair it for you, or you could get the notebook wrapped in vinyl.

Repair? they would have to repaint it i think. I would think is easier to just buy a new cover i doubt is gonna be too expensive since is just a plastic lid.

The Clevo part number you are looking for is 6-39-P8701-022 or 6-39-P8701-012. The -022 part seems to be the "fancy" one, I do not not what the -012 one looks like, perhaps it is plain?

I would think your reseller should be able to find a lid for you. Otherwise, you could get creative and paint/wrap it. There are a good amount of DIY videos on youtube for the different customization people have done. You could make it something uniquely yours, and try to make the best of it.

Dont know if you were able to get one or not but might wanna look here : (They ship within US from New York)

    http://www.eurocom.com/ec/upgrade(2,348,0)ec

Some of them are kinda overpriced, but then again its difficult to obtain certain things and if your re-seller is uncooperative then this might help.
