I would assume not enough voltage for the overclock.

Did you stress test the system at 4.0ghz?

Try lowering the clock or raising the voltage a step or two.

First show us your XTU Settings with all stock and one with your OC Settings.
We don´t know what Voltage you use ;)

You can raise or lower in 10mv steps and trie again

Have you set the Core and Cache offset to 0,976V (970mv)???

    Thats to much.
You now have Set 1V more to Chache and Core. For the cache is not so good!!! And thats why your become BSOD.
Set Cache Offset to default 0V !!!!
Set Core Offset to 0,200v (200mv). I Think that more as enough for your 4,0ghz.
You can try 0,100v (100mv) is that stable too you can lower the core voltage again like 0,090V.
Is this also stable another 10mv (0,010v) lower and agin if its have stock 0,000V Offset.
If its not stable go 0,010V (10mv) higher as your last stable voltage.

If you more OC like 4,1ghz you must raise the Core Offset from your stable 4,0ghz voltage.
Try with 10mv and again to make 4,1ghz stable.

    look in the picture.
    XTU overclock.JPG

But you have set the voltage higher for your 4,0ghz overclocking. So you know what slider for voltage have you used ;)

Puuh, normaly it´s better you don´t change anything in XTU if you don´t know what you do!!!
    You can brick your Laptop!!!!

    But ok try this:
    xtu1.PNG

    1. klick on Profiles
    2. klick on default
    3. klick on Show Values
    4. klick on Apply

Now you have all stock even cache/core Offset Voltage (0,000v) and Multpliers.

Now only go to Advanced Tuning and set your Multipliers all to 40x.
    Dont change any Voltage!!!
klick on Save near Apply Button and make a profile name like 4,0ghz.

Now you can test if it´s stable.
    If yes than all ok.
If no than you musst raise the Core Voltage Offset to 10mv.
    xtu2.PNG

    1. go to Core Voltage Offset and klick on the 0,00v. It´s open a window
    2. klick on 10mv
    3. klick apply
Now you have 10mv more on the Vcore.
Is it stable ok leave it
Is not raise again core offset +10mv

    Be aware of your units.

CPU voltages are in the 1-1.2V (that's volts) region.

Adding 100mV (millivolts) is adding 0.1V (Roughly 10%), power using is exponential with voltage so that will run a lot hotter.

But the important thing is it not allow me raise only core offset to 0,1V, it only allow me raise to 1V and when i try raise the core offset the cache offset raising too that is why iam confusing now

    Thats strange.
So you better set all stock and try with your 40x Mulipliers only.
No Vcore and cache all stock!

    1. klick on Profiles
    2. klick on default
    3. klick on Show Values
    4. klick on Apply

Now you have all stock even cache/core Offset Voltage (0,000v) and Multpliers.

    Dont change any Voltage!!!
klick on Save near Apply Button and make a profile name like 4,0ghz.

Now you can test if it´s stable.

At the moment i doesn´t know why both vcore and cache both together raising.
And why you have 1V steps.
Can you make a screenshot when you klick on the Core Voltage, that we can see the new window if all vcore steps!

    Thats 10mv
    XTU overclock.JPG

My fault, but your XTU shows the Voltage stranges with 0,97645477 normal shows 1mv without the .9765434
So i thought it´s shows 1V (to much beer last evening  )
But i can´t say why cache is raising togehter.

So set the core voltage to 9,765.....mv (10mv)
    it´s not stable try 19,765.....mv (20mv)
not stable again 10mv more also 29,976....mv (30mv)

Than you must give More Vcore offset.
    Try 19,976.....mv (20mv)
    Check if stable.
    No give 10mv more.

If you haven't resolved this yet, check this folder: C: -> Windows -> Minidump

Are there files in there? (If yes, then your computer is experiencing the "BSOD.")

Are you logged in as an Administrator? And if so, can you right click on the folder, select Properties, go to Security, and then change the permissions (if need be)?
