I have yet to find a definitive answer on how exactly to get an Oculus CV1 to work with this laptop.
it's incredible how well it's run anything I've thrown at it until I tried this. is it a problem with the Bios? the actual hardware? it was purchased from HIDevolution

Independent of BIOS revision it should works just fine, at least the Vive did.
@XMG Didn't you run the Rift as well?Last edited: Feb 4, 2018 -

We run VIVE, Rift, MS "Mixed Reality" headsets, OSVR, META, Pimax, VRVANA, TPCAST - basically everything you can think of. If you're having problems with a Rift, I would make sure that you have your firmware up to date. But there shouldn't be anything in the BIOS which affects the functionality, we were running them on DM chassis with a number of different GPUs without any issues - apart form the occasional teething problem as the Rift was pretty new back then. -
well the built in HDMI port wouldn't work, I tried mini dvi to hdmi adapters untill I hit on one that works
the one that worked for me is made by Cirago: DPN2032W4K
are there BIOS/firmware updates for this laptop?Last edited: Feb 5, 2018
