    Hi,
Looking for assistance with this problem that started few months ago.
When I press FN+F1 (touchpad) or FN+F11 (airplane mode) cuts the power.
This also happens with keyboard backlight keys and sometimes even with regular letters keys.
I tried formatting, many differents drivers, different versions of (crappy) Control Center.
The bad key combinations happens even when I in BIOS.

    FN+F1 power off
    FN+F2 power off
    FN+F3 works
FN+F4 nothing happens, but doesn't power off
    FN+F5 works
    FN+F6 works
    FN+F7 works
    FN+F8 works
    FN+F9 works
    FN+F10 works
    FN+F11 power off
FN+F12 power off (instead of hibernate)

    FN+1 works
FN+3 power off (on/off for light in back of LCD)

    FN+/ power off
    FN+* power off
    FN+- power off
    FN++ power off

    FN+PrtSc nothing happens
    FN+INS works (scroll lock toggle)

Like I if turn on the notebook, login into windows, open chrome and start typing an address the notebook shuts down. This seems to happen when Control Center is starting.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried re-seating the keyboard cables?

Thank you for reply, I'm not really a hardware guy, is it complicated to disassemble it?

It's not once you know what you are doing, if you are unsure your reseller can guide you through it. Basic steps:

Unscrew bottom panel, remove keyboard screw, poke screwdriver through hole near CPU cooler to push keyboard up (while screen is open) and the cables are exposed.

OMG! That solved the problem! Here is the youtube video that shows what you explain:

    Thank you very much!!!

EDIT: for the record, I also did a nvram reset, but seemed that a very small flat cable was loose.
