Hello everyone,
This is my first post on this forum.
Last year I bought a Clevo P870KM1-G from eBay(second hand) and is the one posted here last year by user cope123abc.
CLEVO P870KM1-G Prema BIOS- 64GB RAM ,GTX 1080,7700K @5.2Ghz Silicon Lottery
1 x 2TB HDD Seagate - 2 NVME Samsung 970 Evo Plus - 1 NVME Samsung 960 PRO
( http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...gtx-1080-7700k-5-2ghz-silicon-lottery.830376/)
On top of that, I bought another 2 NVME Samsung 970 Evo Plus and another 2 sticks of 16gb Ram.
I was working on it 2 days ago and the laptop screen, mouse and keyboard were completelly frozen, the fans started to run at max and I restart it.
After restart, no luck to boot it up and I decided to remove a Ram stick.
After removing the Ram sticks no 4 and 3 on the back of the laptop I was lucky to go in Windows.
In windows everything was fine, I've tried to do a photo stack in Helicon Focus, but the image was saved with some strange colours on it(green and purple lines)
I decided to add another Ram stick and I done it with success to boot the Windows with 48gb ram.
In the end when the other 4th 16gb stick of ram was installed the system was unable to boot.
Another aspect, the HMDI port stopped working like 2-3 weeks ago for some reasons, I test the laptop on 3 different monitors with 3 different cables, on my one is not working at all, on the other 2 was working but with several cuts of signal and came back again and then I decided and bought a HDMI to display port adapter and in all this time I was using that.
To come back to the original issue, I'm not a good hardware guy to be honest and now I'm really scared about this situation and I need help.
After some "research" let's call it, I done the following without any result:
1 - I removed the CMOS battery and the laptop battery and FN+D did not worked.
2 - Installed ram stick one by one in each different slot
3 - Removed all HDD and Ram slots and CMOS battery
4 - Installed only 2-4 ram stick and 1-3 slots
5 - I visually checked every cables on the back of the laptop to see if something is unplugged
In my opinion I think is a BIOS problem, but I can confirm I haven't tried to update the bios.
At the moment the laptop is starting, the fans are working but no other indicators are present like HDD etc and the screen is black.
The only software installed in that day was Helicon Focus for my work.
The laptop was working fantastic to that day, CPU temps was usually 75 max and GPU 60 max when rendering and Photoshop.
Every single advice will help me.
At the moment I have an additional desktop in case I need to do something from a different computer.
Thank you,
Regards, Marius

What happens if you put the sticks from the 3rd and 4th slot into 1 and 2 and leave the other two out?

Could be that 4th stick is a dud then, will it boot individually on either of those two that started in slot 3 and 4?

Maybe it's not ram related (just a fluke that it booted when you removed a stick). -
Mix and matching ram kits is not guaranteed to work, even if you buy an identical kit (which I assume you did), since the sticks are not tested as a pair of four.
Besides that, there is a bug when using 4 sticks of ram which means they have to be arranged in a correct layout to run. I wrote about it some time ago. -
