Hi,
A new problem that I can't seem to figure out. The touchpad has no drivers...? Reinstalled windows already twice. Is this related to my BIOS? I'm going to re-flash it in the next few days (already contacted support). Is it related to the CCC? Anyone know why it's like this? Everything else seems to be fine, though.
Any help is appreciated. I'm currently waiting on as I mentioned for BIOS through support since I think that may be part of the problem, but I don't know.

Before messing with the BIOS retry a fresh install of windows

I believe it uses the windows precision drivers.

Already did that three times. No go. Tried DISM, tried SFC scanning, tried refreshing, in-place upgrading, complete reinstall, memscanning, dskchk, etc. Doesn't seem to solve the issue.
There's no way to reset those or something? I tried uninstalls in device manager but nothing seems to work. Maybe because Windows 1903 broke it?
You know how normally when you press NUM LOCK that in the top left you get a graphics notification that shows it on/off? Well, that's no longer around, either. Everything is messed up. Even having updated from Clevo-released drivers for Intel GPU and Nvidia ones, graphics stuff has been crashing quite a lot, too. I don't know if they're related, but just guessing that all of this may have something to do with the BIOS and newest iterations of Win 10.Last edited: Jul 28, 2019 -
CCC installs a Hotkey driver, which gives you that graphical HUD for when you use the Fn keys. I have that uninstalled, and on my Clevo, the Fn keys work, just no graphical display, which is just fine with me. (On Asus systems, it's the APKI (sp?) driver)

It could be an ECU issue if you have been flashing?

I used to have CCC. I uninstalled it, but I still have HKMouFltr.sys from Insyde Corp. as part of my keyboard (in this case it's KbFltr) and mouse drivers. I even tried going into registry to remove them from loading, but HkMouFltr.sys still causes BSODs, especially when the mouse freezes temporarily. I was told this may have something to do with Intel GPU's drivers, so I reverted to Clevo ones instead. Since I only did that just before sleeping yesterday, it's too early to tell if there will be any other issues. That may help, but who knows where the issue lies (on a side note, the computer runs relatively sluggishly which shouldn't happen).
And even after reinstalling CCC, there is no graphical display for using of these keys. If reinstalling the driver is supposed to bring it back, what could possibly be the reason why it's not back? I can't fathom this. Anyway, I'm thinking maybe GPU-related, but I don't know, and I will continue trying various solutions.
The only thing I did was update my drivers from the official Clevo site. That + Win 10 update = everything went bonkers. I've never flashed my bios. I'm requesting the original bios from support so that I can reflash it to its original state. The EC shouldn't have this ACPI issue to begin with. The only way to explain it is an an incongruency between software and hardware.
ALSO, it's worth mentioning this: After uninstalling CCC, my ACPI Bridge1 and ACPI Bridge drivers, along with some other driver (it said unknown device) were giving question marks in the driver manager window. This is not normal, is it? After a restart, these items were not updated, so I manually updated them from device manager window.
Just wanted to say thanks for input thus far (to both of you). Maybe I will figure out the problem on my own with your sharing of your experience with how these things work.Last edited: Jul 28, 2019joluke likes this. -

I'm hoping so! That's what the errors are saying. Something wacky is happening here that I've never personally seen with any PC. So I can only say that I'm happy to know that you say that it could help! I just wish it were readily available without having to contact support =\

Got to make sure the file is correct or things could get much worse
-
What do you mean? You mean the BIOS itself? Speaking of that, I'm guessing my RealTek drivers are also related to that. Every time my computer wakes up from sleep or closed lid, the audio jack no longer detects a connection despite having it always plugged in. -_-
But you are talking about the BIOS, right? Pro-Star, after their merger with Sager, is responsible for providing the BIOS as I understand it. I'm sure they'll give me the right files. I was told that they need to request it from Clevo who then needs to send it to their U.S. office and then I can finally get it. -

That's why the files are not openly available as people have a habit of flashing the wrong one.
-
But you'd think that most people are capable if instructions are provided, no?
-

Yeah so if people ask for a file they are given instructions and the right file.
Just a readme is ignored. -
I always read ReadMe files, though. There are cases where I don't because they're spammy/ads for some forum or something... I think I will wait until Friday to call back support and ask for BIOS files. I hope they have them by then. It's been already 1 day past what they told me for when they should have it. We'll see if that fixes any issues. All I know is that I'm not getting crazy crashes after updating my intel GPU through intel's driver updating software. The audio is no longer cutting out after sleep/reboot, and everything seems back to normal speed. Still, the hotkeys don't work and I tried the newest version of them. ACPI issues seem gone for now, but fans still can't be controlled with profiles.

Well, that's just darn shocking =o
And I decided that... I am going to call tomorrow and ask about my BIOS. I will report on my findings when I do. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Yes, let us know
-
Well, I called, but they said that it still wasn't given to them. That means I'll need to wait another week or so
Maybe I should just try flashing it on my own? Is there a way to acquire some other BIOS that is compatible with this mobo that also keeps the feature of the battery not overcharging?
Edit - After running a command in the shell, I managed to get everything working. I guess a bios reflash isn't necessary. It was an issue with Windows update 1903 and CCC that weren't interacting right, explaining the ACPI errors.Last edited: Aug 3, 2019
