Just wanted to shout out that PC Microworks have now changed their configuration page from "Free Upgrade on Pre-Orders" on the 8800m gtxs to "Call for Exclusive offer". Anyone that wanted to jump on the bandwagon should do it soon if you were thinking about it.

It looks like the price went up too. Upgrading from a single 8700 to sli 8800gtxs is about 1000....but I am sure the exclusive offer is a free or near free upgrade option.

Not saying to go with PC Microworks specifically but just saying to get the deal before its goes if you want it.

Good to hear! I personally had a good experience thus far as far as talking with my account manager (I love the sound of that for some reason).

If you could doodles, you want to put your experience and reason for going with them on a thread I started about resellers?

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=192688

If you get time. I just wanted a thread that people can access to get info on resellers. Mainly to help those "What do you think of company X threads" :)

I recently placed an order for Horizon with an 8800 from PC MicroWorks. Any idea if the Horizon is also based on a Clevo system? I asked over the telephone, but didn't get a clear answer. I'm just wondering if based on the Sager mobo problems, I can expect shipping delays.

Yes, I am convinced that it is the Clevo M570RU. You can look at the model on clevos sight here:

    http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/products/prodinfo.asp?productid=15

The one on PCMicroworks' site is the same. According to them they should be able to start shipping laptops with the 8800mgtxs in late december. That isn't for sure though.

I noticed PC MicroWorks calls the new card a "Geforce GO 8800GTX" as opposed to an "8800M GTX." That's just 2 different ways of labeling the same GPU, right?

I think the GO designation is given to all mobile geforces. It should be the same.

Pretty sure only one version of this card is being released right now.

Yes they are still using the ¨GeForce Go¨ label because it is better known than the new ¨M¨ label that Nvidia is now using.
