I have not bought from either yet but the one thing that I keep in mind is that both PCTorque and Discountlaptops offer an in house extended warranty for a very reasonable price while Powernotebooks offers the Phillips for a rather high price and reportedly aren't as easy to work with. Again that's just what I've gathered from research and a $100 for a 2 year warranty extension seems very reasonable. This isn't a desktop that you can buy and replace your own parts, i.e motherboard etc.

If you don't need an extended warranty, I would go with PowerNotebooks. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with PCTorque or DiscountLaptops.

If you don't have anything bluetooth-enabled, then it's not a worthwhile investment.

What is your budget? We can help you configure it too.

why would I need, or not need for that matter, an extended warranty?

^ Just an extra layer of protection if say...something goes wrong at the end of the standard warranty.

May not use it - and maybe you will (and you'll be glad you have it vs. the cost of repairs).

Then again, if you're thinking of modding it at all, you may NOT want one since you could be voiding the warranty anyway.

I would get 2GB of RAM, it is worth it if you plan to game.

For the processor, I wouldn't take it above a 760 (2.0GHz) unless you have money to burn. Also, a 7200RPM hard drive will help performance a lot.
