Hey all PCMW customers - i've been trying to sort out a problem i've been having when I sleep/hibernate in Vista Ultimate 64. Whenever I put my computer into sleep or hibernate mode I get bluescreened when I try to wake it up.

Apparently, it's a Turbo Memory II driver issue/Matrix Storage Manager (the optional drivers on the drivers dvd). I temporarily fixed the problem by not installing the turbo memory II drivers - which seems more like a temporary fix to me for now - but at least the problem is isolated.

Anybody else having issues with their turbo memory on this OS? Or is it just the PCMW customers?

WIll be contacting PCMW tomorrow to let them know the issue - now that i've isolated it should have it fixed soon.

I've got an m80tu from Eurocom and my computer reboots often when I go into sleep mode. Usually it says 'unexpected shutdown' and I go through the whole checkdsk stuff.

And yes, I'm pretty sure he only thing I managed to pin to my turbo memory was a series of error messages.

    That stuff blows.

I have the drivers installed and running readyboost/readydrive at the moment. maybe I'll do some tests next week to see if uninstalling them stops the rebooting on sleep/hibernate.

ive totally lost my turbo memmory altogether. had my Nexus for 2 days now and it was there when i first turned it on. ive checked every file and folder in explore and done loads of searches for it but its gone :(
have been told it could be a glitch in connection with the fingerprint reader.

I don't use turbomemory so no issues with sleep. I have hibernate disabled.

Yeah it seems like all of the Edge/M860TU fall prey to the same error with turbo memory for some reason.

thats interesting. i checked the bios today and found no problems.
i can still find the Matrix Storage Manager but there is no turbo in sight.

also n the hibernate point. i had major problems with this on my m15x so the first thing i done with my nexus was to do a disk clean and delete the 2.5gb file.

On bootup, press pause when you see your BIOS version come up. Or go to system information in accessories.

Do you mean you deleted the turbo memory console and now you're wondering why you can't find it?

If you explore around system information you might find reference to your turbo memory, mine has things mentioned turbo memory controller all over the place. Other than that I don't know how to help you find the memory..

    thanks oxandrolone
    i didnt delete anything.
i still have the intel matrix storage manager/console but the turbo isnt in there.
ive been told that as i had problems with the finger print reader and i deleted the saved prints there is a glitch that also affects the turbo even though they are 2 seperate bits of software.
i have searched high and low and also checked through every file available in explore but it is no where to be found.

There is a newer version out ( 1.00.07 - direct from clevo). It seems to fix a few issues related to the 9800M GTS/GTX, so probably not helpful to you, but might be worth a try

    Go to m86xtu, optional drivers.

download the turbo memory driver. I don't think its the latest but it seems like you'v deleted the software for the turbo memory.

I have two folders in my start menu one is Intel Matrix Storage Manager and the second is Intel Turbo Memory.

I think those drivers have both software packages in em.

can anybody confirm whether this new bios will brick our systems? :(

    Since it's only for 9800ts/gtx

This bios will not brick your system, it just might not have any effect as the tweaks that are noted are for systems with 9800M GTS/GTX
