what's the major difference? they're both penryn at 45nm right? and their clock speeds aren't that significant? and same cache as well??

I'm also waiting, but is it worth the wait?

Which is why I don't understand all the slander. I will laugh heartily if Clevo comes months from now and says that only limited versions of their laptops can handle the 9800mGTX and those limited ones HAPPEN to be PCMW's and Eurocom's.

No. The 2.6 Ghz vs 2.83 GHz is not much difference.

By "slander" I assume you mean only that limited subset of folks commenting on this affair who made negative assertions against PCMW that were not related to, or based on, any set of facts?

I'm sure we'll all laugh with you, in that very unlikely event. If PCMW is, in fact, working with Clevo on a modified 9800MGTX (please note, the emphasis is on if[/], as in, assume that this wholly unreal, hypothetical set of facts is true - like in a movie about human beings living on Mars), then in all probability, the design - the intellectual property - will belong to Clevo (PCMW would most likely get compensated by getting the right to pay a smaller price than everyone else to buy such modules from Clevo), in which case, Clevo will simply implement the design on all of its affected laptops, and we'll just go through another revision stepping (probably major in such a case).
