My jacks(mic and audio) died....
called them up today, and they are send me a FREE xpress card frpm Creative, a 70-100$ value. Now that is what I call service!!!!
-
-
That's awesome indeed!
-
wow.....i am jealous!!
-
Now that is a good vendor that will step up with an alternative rather than inconveniencing the customer by having them send in the entire unit.
-
nice!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
the cost of the Expresscard X-Fi's are not even that high... around $50.
So sending them out to customers might not be as bad as customers returning the entire unit due to faulty jacks. -
still,nice
-
Awesome indeed! I'm buying one now from micloi I believe!
-
Damn, almost make me wanna consider them.
I mean, with their diamond plus upgrade system...hmm. -
Damn wtf! Thats amazing. I wish Xotic would do this. (If I was in your situation I mean). I haven't ordered yet.
Whoa they got some great prices too. Its a sale! Wonder if Xotic will match them.
NOOOOOOO. I just called Xotic and they are gone now and won't be back until Tuesday!!! By then the PCMW sale is over!
Actually nevermind. None of the components in my PCMW build are even on sale and they are still like $250-$300 cheaper than Xotic.Does Xotic price match only the base model cost or also the cost of a certain configuration?
-
-
They`re not going to do that.
I was among the original issuers ,and Sager said :
-Send to factory for repair
-Ely911 : wtf?whole system for a jack?
-Sagey : yea man , bummer, ha? oh well, expect 2 weeks of work time
-Ely911 : no way dude, I`m getting a USB sound card
-Sagey :better send for repairs.
-Ely911 : have a nice day *hang up phone*
It`s a no go, PCMW is fantastic in this regard... -
-
Yea, I said that Instead of sending it in, if they could do something else. They offered a free express card, so I took that offer
. they pay shipping also!!!
Furthermore, they are considering to get a rep on this forum (From my constant asking them to)! -
Got one for me?
Heheheh... will be much better than the Realtek chipset...
-
Does the express card enhance game sound to? I would imagine so if it has EAX and its just generally better than integrated sound. Does it impact game performance at all? Also do you know if you are getting the X-fi? or Audigy 2 ZS?
-
It should slightly increase your FPS, not to mention provide higher volume and better sound quality!

did creative just lower its price? $79.99 now? last night when i checked it was still $120?
-
Actually it does increase gaming performance.
Minimally,but nonetheless. -
Why? Because the Audigy NB included it´s own co-processor to deal with EAX, D3D, OpenAl etc, so all the work was done via hardware. The X-Fi NB uses software for that, using the system CPU to process all the effects, almost like the onboard audio systems.
The problem is that the Audigy NB card uses the PCMCIA interface, wich is outdated. Most if not all of the recent NBs have Express Card instead of PCMCIA.
I´m waiting for a review of the X-Fi Surround 5.1 card to decide. So far its only disponible in the US...
-
Hrm. Does the M570 have a PCMCIA port? Even though its outdated is there a downside to using such a port?
-
I am making so much mistakes recently. i better shut up from now
-
-
-
Here we are just sharing knowledge...
-
Let´s see if the new USB 2.0 X-Fi Surround 5.1 card can equalize the Audigy´s quality, and be better than the X-Fi Notebook ExpressCard.
-
I am waiting for express version of this: http://www.echoaudio.com/Products/CardBus/IndigoIO/index.php
-
Well, I cant really argue, cus im gettin mine for free, however, they said they can order any model i want....
What should I chose? -
Ugh, i was hoping for an express card equivalent to my Audigy. damn it.
Where is PCMW located? I just might consider them as well if this is the service they are giving. -
Wow,any model?kewl
Wait,there`s more than one ? -
-
uuu, the first one is the one I have.
You must get the second onesince the other 2 are USB powered.
-
Thats the one that they were going to send.
-
I feel like i was the first to buy from them, after Wu Jen of course. And now every1 is seeing the light of PCMW. I also feel like they're doing this cuz they're new. If they become a big corporation they'll start being mroe and more money hungry cuz they wont care about getting new customers... only time will tell...
-
Not really. Sager is pretty "big", and they do not do that.
-
yeah wow... dont get me wrong i really like xotic.. and justin is great but even xotic is at the mercy of sager. it seems pcmw can do what they want to do.. and i dont even know how they are selling at those prices.... they are almost 300$ less than almost everyone WOW...

Specs similar to the one i wanted on the 5793, with the 2.8ghz P processor would cost me 2550 which is cheaper than the current 5793 seems to be to good of a deal with the $500 sale.
PCMW is AWESOME!!!!!
