We Just Got this Laptop in . Wow it has such better Build Quality compared to the MSI GS65.

Does Anyone know what kind of Thermal Paste comes from the factory ? also is there a Premo Bios yet for it ? @Prostar Computer ?

Did you ask @Prostar Computer - I'm sure they could tell you.

If you tag a company rep or member on the forum it'll get to their attention ;-)

Hey @Lightwire, glad to hear the laptop has made a good first impression. :)

The factory compound we use comes from Clevo with the barebones unit and is unbranded. It looks and performs similarly to Noctua NT-H1 (but no confirmation on where the TIM initially comes from). The Prema BIOS isn't offered on our machines, unfortunately, and I'm not sure that there is one available for this model as it is.

@Prostar Computer Thanks for the Reply., so far the Thermal have been great i so no need for a Repaste.

Where is the Best Place to get New Bios when they are released ?

Do you if there are plans for a Thin Bezel version anytime soon like the MSI gs65 /

    Good!

You can contact us through our site for the BIOS. Tech support can email you the update files and guide you on how to flash the system.

There's nothing on the horizon for a revision with a thinner bezel at the moment, and we probably won't see something like that until another refresh of this model/series. Just have to wait and see.

Can you provide some screens of the "good thermals" because as far as I'm informed your notebook is nothing short of a disaster, never got screenshots tho. I would also like you do make a GPU-Z screen, since some people here claim that the MaxQ of your notebook is nerfed to keep the thermals somewhat in check.

    Why?

OP was asking about the thermal paste out of curiosity. No one said 'good thermals' so there's no need to defend this.

MAX-Q 1070 spec is 80W to 90W. This has all been discussed at great length in the past and it's been confirmed multiple times as 80W.

Great way to welcome someone to the forum. Tell someone their new laptop, which they are happy with, is a disaster and then ask them to provide evidence that you are correct......there's a 10 page thread on the P950ER where I and several others confirmed that this chassis, like the HR predecessor, uses the 80W 1070 MAX-Q version.
