hello.. I've ordered a 9262, but have just realised that the power rating might not fit where I am now.. I'm in singapore.. and the laptop's from USA.. does that mean that I need to get a different PSU or something like that? how do I go about this issue? I'm not sure if it'll work in singapore or not.. but if it doesn't.. can I change PSU or something like that?? thx.

Google for US to Singapore plug adapter.

It is not a converter that you need.

The AC Adapter that comes with it is an Auto Sensing, Full Range, Auto Switching adapter that can be used all over the world, but it comes with a US plug.

All you need is either a power cord with a wall socket plug for Singapore, or if you want to use the US plug that will come with it you will just need the adapter that you would plug the power cord into, and then plug the adapter into your wall socket.

hi, just to ask something.. in singapore, our laptops all have these PSUs with power cords that fit our wall sockets to the PSU.. can i just use one of these to plug it into the PSU? as it seems that almost all PSU have the same socket-to-psu entry plug? thx

Hi Leon yes you can use the cable that you have described since it has the same configuration that plugs say to your desktop cpu to the wall socket.

or you can get an adaptor that will fit the american 2 pin into a 3 pin plug. that is what i did for mine.

thx for the reply. i realised that this auto-switching PSU is 110v/220v.. apparently singapore is running on 240v, so doesn't it mean i can't run current directly into the PSU? what should i do now? thx.

no it will still work, as australia has the same power rating as singapore 240V 60Hz 10A max

    the transformer will still work.

On the bottom of the brick is printed "100-240V" It'll be fine anywhere in that region.

OK, technically that's a 5793 power brick, but they're made by the same people, and they are the same input voltage rating
