    Hi guys,

So i put up a post recently about some issues i was having with my Clevo P170EM. Turns out the 7970M in it is what is causing trouble. The laptop was bought from Pwn Pcs in 2013 and is still under warranty. I was just wondering if anyone knows what the situation is with the company itself as I see no laptops listed on their page any more and their director hasnt been active on here in quite a while. I have sent them a message throught he contact us section of the website but cant find any other contact info.

If I cant get the warranty honored, would you guys have any suggestions as to what to do with the thing as i cant seem to find any clevo 7970Ms for sale on ebay. Its pretty bad form that a laptop that cost that much money (even if it is cheap by alienware standards) fails like this after not even 2 years and after being looked after as well as this one was.

    Cheers

    Brandon

I would recommend contacting the UK Service Center by the details on this page:

    http://www.clevo.com.tw/clevo_contact.asp?lang=en

They may well have a GPU available to sell, or they should be able to offer a repair service for you. You would have to pay for either service but Goldenstar UK (assuming you are in the UK, if not you could try the center in Germany) is the most reputable company to go to in a situation like this.

In Europe Clevo's official Service Center - Goldenstar services all European systems under their existing warranty, doesn't matter where you bought it. If the serial number shows in their system then they will honor the warranty.
