    Perfcap reason - SLI?

    I was just checking my gpu on gpu-z to see if my 2 x 980m sli (in a p870dm-g) still had thermal throttling issues. However, instead of seeing a thermal cap I saw an SLI cap? Is this normal? Sorry if it is but I'm still worried if that's an issue I should be fixing. Note that this only occurs after playing some gpu-intensive games.

    Normal, just driver making sure the cards are clocking the same, so long as your clocks are locked on 1126/2500 (or whatever you OC to)

    Open two copies of GPUz and let them log sensor outputs in the background for a little while as the cards heat up to check

    Yes, to reduce micro stutter (uneven frame times) and given the different clocks GPU boost 3.0 can cause from second to second the lowest speed state of the two is used.
