    17" WUXGA, Intel E6700, 2048MB DDR2-800, 2x nvidia 7950 GTX, 3x 160GB 7200RPM (Raid0), XP Pro.

    all i can say WOW!

weight is not a issue, it feels lighter then my old 9880. could be just that i'm too hyped, but weight is not bad, and the new case feels way more solid and the glossy finish makes it pretty.

    anyway

    scores:

    3dmark06 default test, 1280x1024: 9107
    3dmark05 default test, 1024x768: 14759

nvidia driver version installed from sager: 94.22

installed world of warcraft have a raid to attend, will do other game test after.

as you can see from my post number, I’m just a lurker most of times. i don't have much experience, posting and writing reviews. if i can figure out how to post pics i'll do it, as for the review i'll give it some thought.

can anyone recommend a good n router i should pickup?

:D That's awesome! That 3DMark06 score puts it up with a desktop 8800GTS. Can't wait to see some game benchmarks. :D

one thumbs up has to be given is fan noise, even with more fans then 9880, this system is much more quieter. i know i could have been trained by the 9880 but this unit for sure is quieter.

That is a plus. How many fans are in the machine? What is the finish and build quality as well?

there are 4 fans in the D900C i believe.

Congrats on the new system. :)

I really hope you can give us a review of it. Many people would greatly appreciate your impressions and experiences.

it has 4 fans, 2 for 2x vga, and 2 for cpu and memory.

the finish, back cover outer rim, lcd front rim, palm rest area peice are all glossy clear coated, like those customized painted systems. in two color.

LCD backcover, the silver metal peice has become darker gray, and the ring around it is dark gray with silver dust (it almost matches my lexux IS350 Smoky Granite Mica) clear coated.

LCD front Rim, dark black clear coated

palmrest same dark gray with silver dust clear coated, few areas are dark black clear coated.

the bottom is black without clear coat.

it feels extreme solid and smooth as it's clear coated.

i love the finish on this unit, it gives a very high class feel.

2 video cards is definatly overkill however, Would you like to have a decent pc for gaming? Or do you want to have that beast that everyone envys and druels over? Me i want something that is cutting edge and totally awesome in every way. If im investing money into a fancy pc it is going to be all out. But that is just my oponion and my credit card payment :(

Yes sir, one 7950 GTX is plenty capable of handling anything on the gaming market right now at high to max settings.

One 7950 GTX = A high-powered assault rifle vs. primitive rock throwers

    Two 7950 GTXs = A mounted mini-gun vs. balloons.

A rough analogy I know..shut up..but I was attempting to demonstrate the overkill. Haha.

I have been running 2 7900 gtx in my desktop for about a year now. Yes it definatly is overkill but i want overkill. I want the shock and awe affect. I love it. Yes 1 card will run most of the games out today at max settings. But that is based on the particular games play engine. EA games for instance. Some of their games can run at max settings some cannot. I think that EA games probably has the most hardware demanding games out there. Now as SLI becomes more available and cheaper more game makers will be making games that will make optimum use of them.

Your 1 graphic card will be fine for a year or so. But i want my duel SLI to be fine for gaming for many years.

    awesome score, thanks. :)

EDIT: updated the hall of fame with your beast's score. :)

I think you might be able to get a slightly better score if you do the XP MultiCore hotfix....
and disable resource hogs (like System Restore, Anti-virus, etc..)

Still an amazing score. Beats all mobile Core 2 Duo's out there. ;)

done the multicore hotfix and turned off system restore, keeped everything else the way it is as how i would run this unit normal.

score remained the same with about +/- 0.020 sec differences between the two test.

headding to bestbuy or frys to pickup a n Router.

    "1.) MrSneis AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 @ 2.60GHz Sager 9750 (Clevo D900K) | Vista Ultimate x64 30.265s 955.266s

    2.) Tenchi Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6700 @ 2.66GHz Sager 9260 (Clevo D900C) | XP Pro 33.625s 1069.656s"

I thought this 9620 would decimate all?

If the 9260 (D900C) had its CPU maxed out with an X6800, then it would by the victor.

The 9750 (D900K) had its CPU maxed out, so thats why its gotten a better score.

And we arent even looking at the other benchmarks like 3DMark06 and such.... in which the D900C will dominate.

What do you expect when you compare 2.6GHZ to 2.66GHZ?

There is a lot more to a computer's ability to crunch then just the raw CPU.

The E6700 is better than an FX-60, but the FX-60's higher score might be because it was running a 64-bit OS, which is supposedly better for heavy number crunching.

Yes, all games runs at full setting with NO! slowdown!

    Need 4 speed carbon
    fear
    HL2
    HL2 ep1
    doom3
    farcry with HDR
    world of warcraft

it just runs everything i throw at it full speed smooth as running water.

so far the system is rock stable, been running it since yesterday after i picked it up from sager.

zero crashes, zero slowdowns during gaming. while the system stayed cool, and noticeable less noise vs the old 9880.

i picked up the netgear n router, since i have other G wifi running, i set it up in mix mode, and it's connected at 145 transfer speed over wi-fi is noticeable faster as well.

nope sorry dude i dont benchmark my stuff. IF my game runs good i dont care. I dont write reviews. But i do field questions for hardware when people ask.
I deleted my benchmark software years ago cause i just dont care. All that matters to me is that the games run great. Not the benchmark software

You should give the VX a try... it's nothing like the previous generations of cordless mice(all of which i've owned and gamed on, but I also game with touchpads in a pinch :D). I know a few digital artist's that claim they can get precise enough hand movement from the MX/VX to use over a corded mouse.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to a couple reviews so I can find out about build quality/noise/heat.. the rest I can deal with myself.

I'm surprised the desktop processors make that big of a difference in the 3dmark benchmarks. It totally blows the CLevo 590KE away despite them both having dual 7950 gtx gos

It's a synthetic benchmark, the real test is smooth FPS during gameplay at settings that make you happy. While 3D mark can normally give you an idea of what you are capable of, it's only really good for comparing cards, not "usability".

There is also a huge variation of how people setup their games (resolution, detail settings etc) that will have a huge impact on your FPS. There is also a huge variation in the game engine from game to game.
