Pics of the Silver and Black Sager NP5793

I found pics of the all black and silver model. Man it looks so sick. I can't believe they don't want to produce this in favour of the black and orange and silver and silver models. I mean this is easily the best looking one!

 

I agree! This looks so awesome! I thought there was a choice in color when you order it though or am I wrong?

 

There is but some people said that Sager is no longer making the silver + black model. So if you order silver you get the silver trim AND the silver top on the notebook (instead of all black).

Ya I guess so you need to get orange if you want an all black system.

Well, I guess you can always get the lid painted without a problem and it also shouldn't be too expensive.

 

I think it would be better to maybe get the orange trim and black lid and then paint the trim. Much less area to cover.

 

But it would be trickier to paint the trim. What about a skin for the lid though?

 

When I got my Sager 5793 on Feb. 3, 2008, it came with the silver trim and the rest was all black. I was afraid the orange would look too 'gaudy' which is why I went with the silver trim. Pictures are always a hard way to tell how a finish is going to look once you really get it in your hands.

I am very pleased with the overall looks of the 5793 and combined with the system's performance, this notebook is really worth the price.

 

I like mine with the orange trim. Sure, black lid+silver trim would be more professional,but heck,I`d paint mine all red

When I got my 9262 I was surprised how good it looked and I was actually a bit upset because I really hoped the color would be ugly in real life so that I can paint it later but I guess I'll just leave it like it is.

There was a thread about custom paints on the RU and 901C , from Xotic .
Sadly, I don`t think 400$ is a decent price to pay the whole thing.

 

Well, I hope you guys aren't going to kill me for it but I happen to have a full black 5793 with silver trim... It has a custom skin on the backplate but you can see the real backplate for the first 1/2" on the 2 sides...

Although I`ll comply and say it is indeed sick, my personal favourite would have probably used at least 65% of the lid.
I`m thinking of puttin` either an Alien or a Terminator on it.

i have a spare black lid i could sell ... lol.. if anyone is afraid of swapping it i can do the labor free if they want to send it to me.. or if they live near by

 

Sager has been offering both the orange and silver trim for some time (attached).

yeah the silver line with the black lid is what i would have ordered if they had it.. i actually wish i ordered the silver version anyway..

I personally like the orange trim a lot on the review unit I had. Very different.

omg the black and silver colour looks very cool and mesmerizing. Simple and yet very nice to look at since i really like black and silver color mix together. Hope the m860TU has the colour

 

Bloody right, mate! There isn't another laptop (other than maybe Gateway FX) with a similar look... it's unique and definitely eye-turning IMO Especially say in a group of people when everyone owns tinier non-gaming laptops like average Dells or macs

On a side note, I'd wish the 5793 came with NAVY BLUE trim So black colour and navy blue trim.... And glossy finish

 

Glossy finish is what gets me pissed off actually.
So many fingerprints, that I virtually never touch the laptop anymore with my hands.
I use an external mouse and keyboard,and only touch the laptop when I turn it on and perform dust cleaning

 

Hmmm.... good point. But for people like me who take pleasure in cleaning and maintaining the laptop so very much... tis' a different story

 

Theriko, that's is just SWEET. That's really all I can say. Where did you get it? I HAVE to know. Please don't tell me you have to get it when you order your laptop. Then I would have to sell my current model and buy another!

 

you can get the black lid from sager... call them and order it then follow the guide wrote up and swap the lid out...its 75$ for the lid

 

I think he means the skin, I got mine with the laptop but it's just a stick on panel (on top of the back panel) so If you either ask Mark (killernotebooks.com) or xoticpc might do the skins as well
