looks pretty nice IMO

usapatriot Notebook Nobel Laureate
I do not like the red trimming and especially red trimming that surrounds the speakers or vents.
-
the checkered type trimming around the keyboard seems weird
-
nice ...... the red trimming reminds me of the ferrari 5000
-

The machine looks quite good, but one thing I have notices as have other members, when initial pictures were released, is the placement of the audio connectors. Putting them at the front may not be the best, but it may suit some people. Also, the machine looks lot thicker than the M570U its replacing. I always liked the power that the M570U offered, particularly, because of its slimmer design, when compared to some other gaming ntoebooks on the market. Overall though, the M570RU looks like quite a good notebook.
-
I already miss the Audio DJ.
But the aesthetics for the M570RU seems streamline for gamers and enthusiasts.
Lets just see how the components within will perform. -
Eurocom also has what looks like a placeholder page up for ordering, along with some specs. Of course, I'll take them with a grain of salt until they actually publish it.

WOW!!!! it looks very very very nice.. i love it... it reminds me of the beatifull asus z70va.

The M570RU is beautiful, very sleek and it should stand out. Thanks for the link.
-
Man, I wish I could view that gallery on a PDA! I guess I'll have to wait to get a hold of a full size machine. Can't wait to see yhem, as the 570RU is a unique looking machine.
-
Looks top of the class. I always thought that Clevo were kind of ugly compared to something like Sony AR31S, now it's close to being on that rank for looks. No too pimpy like the acer ferrari, asus laborgini & company.
Trance
PS: Again aestethics is something I don't argue. To each one their own taste. Hope that the price don't go with the looks but with features otherwise is out for me. -
omg.. that thing is beautiful... jesus!
its def. worth the wait. -
I hope sager doesn't put a sager sticker around the palm rest.. that would kill the look =/
-
Wow, the design is very... sexy. Even with the orange and carbon fiber trimming, it looks pretty professional.
-
Yeah. It looks very classy. I hope it won't have a classy price though.
Edit: Also, note, this is from a very simple reseller. I'm sure others will recolor it to your liking. Maybe the lining will be an option by itself. -
Here's a link to the specs page:
http://www.eurocom.com/products/future/specselectfuture.cfm?model_id=189
I doubt much of it though. -
Oo it looks awsome.
Specs might be pretty right, but other resellers (like Sager) might do different specs/lcd sizes.
Looks promising:
16xPCI-E; Modular MXM-HE; Nvidia GeForce Go 7950/ 8800
But release date till end of July :/ -
Launch Date July 31, 2007
Pretty soon! Wonder how the 8800 will perform. -
Yeah - I saw that too. I wonder how realistic the July 31st release date is. Maybe now we'll get some update from SAGER on their release and "version" of the RU. Pretty pls.?
-
Well, another page on the site (goto http://eurocom.com/ and hit "Future" on the top; not linkable for whatever reason) says "July 1, 2007". And I also doubt the GPU will be called "GeForce Go 8800GTX", considering the new 8x00M naming scheme, but you never know. So all this info is bizaare and sketchy, and the picture gallery is way more fancy-looking than the rest of the Eurocom site. If you keep clicking around, you also get to an empty configuration page.
Edit: I think it would bea really cool to be able to choose that trim color as well. I'd personally like it green or red, but the orange is totally acceptable. -
I love it, what a gorgeous machine. My 570u is still a grand performer, but I can't help but feel the little twinge of regret for not waiting. Orange is my favorite non-blue color!
-
it says july 31st.. far away
http://www.eurocom.com/products/future/specselectfuture.cfm?model_id=189 -
-
-
hmm...i see where it says July, 1st for the "shipping date" (whatever that means.) Go here: http://www.eurocom.com/ then click on the "future" link on the top of the page. I really hope its the first so i can get it before i leave for college in early august; but i have a feeling this is going to cost more than i want to pay anyway...
-
I'm hoping i can get a descend configuration for 2300 dollars + shipping.... I really don't think I want to spend over 2500 dollars.
-
Something doesn't seem right at http://www.eurocom.com/products/future/specselectfuture.cfm?model_id=189.
It says: "Display
LCD size/type/resolution 17-inch; WUXGA 1920x1200 or WXGA 1280x800"
1280x800 on a 17 inch laptop???
I only wanted to get a 1440x900 on the 570ru... -
Again, it also says GeForce Go 8800GTX, which goes aagainst th enew naming scheme. The whole page is fishy.
-
It's possible that eurocom will only sell 1280x800 and 1920x1200, but Clevo offer 1440x900 and 1680x1050 in the M570U, so they'll almost certainly show up at some resellers.
It is rather worrying that http://www.eurocom.com/products/future/index.htm and http://www.eurocom.com/products/future/specselectfuture.cfm?model_id=189 seem to disagree about the date by a month - although one says "Shipping date: July 1st" and the other "Launch date: July 31st", so they could be referring to different events... but it seems unlikely. Assume the worst, and be prepared to wait for August or September to get your hands on one. -

I doubt Sager will be selling the M570RU with the WXGA screen - they will probably offer WSXGA+ and WUXGA just like on the current M570U, and they may have a lower-end M570RU with reduced graphics capabilities and a WXGA+ screen (just like the current NP5750).
-
NIC and CATV on the right side by the mouse? thats weird
-
Yeah, that does kind of suck. Good thing I won't be getting it.
But if I decided too, would I be able to get it later?
Edit: CATV Tuner I mean. -
Very nice color.. matches the whole thing completely..
But might be a bit too thick for me... -
I was looking closely at the pics, and i dont see the wholes on the palmrest where the screen latch goes in to.
-
Here is a live shot of the unit:
As you can see, the holes for the LCD hatches are there. -
Yeah I think it's a bit thicker than the m570u. Probably made that way to hold 2 HDDs + the ODDs, to make the second disk permanent in the lappy. I also miss the audio DJ but it looks nice. The new vid architecture could increase the thickness also. Me likes!
I also believe the had to move some ports out of the back for additional vents/fans. The grill is much wider than on the m570u...
Plus they also removed the keyboard speaker, probably for larger side speakers.
Well, I can't wait to see reviews on this! -
Still no release date? I wonder how much longer we have to wait.

About one year ago Sager did the exact same thing with the Pentium M-based NP5720:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=52639&highlight=5720
That was in May 2006; they released the updated NP5760 in the Summer, around July I believe. So expect the M570RU to come at the end of June/early July if past patters are any indications of what Sager will do this year. -
Computex is coming up soon. I'm guessing they'll be showcasing it there.

-
This computer looks sweet, but my pockets proboly won't go that deep...
-
That thing looks as though it'd weigh 10kg.
-
it doesnt even weigh half that.. lol but anyway, it's a very sleek design, especially the one with the white trim... anyone got better pictures other than the one @ rock?
-
8.3lbs. Now, I'm not a wimp that thinks that's unbearable, but if you look at it as an all-Centrino, no crazy 3HDs or desktop processor or SLI, it seems kind of heavy.
Then again, lighter than the G2S's 9.6lbs.
