    For a 17" with that much power 8.3 pounds is a small price to pay. It is actually very light for a 17" laptop.

    Agreed. The m570u is relatively thin also. BUT, at this weight with the accessories a good backpack is a must...

    Man, with that much copper inside to cool the CPU and GPU, that thing can't be lighter lol... Seriously, it'.s impressive. Probably more than 1lb just for it ;). The batterie(s) are also guilty, but smaller batteries would not be acceptable with this power...
