Ok. I have gone from hating the design of this notebook so much as to dismiss it to actually liking the design (I am still very turned off by the orange strip, and am surprised that the top of the lid is not brushed metal - convince me otherwise about the orange)

I would like to see a pic of this thing next to a thinkpad, or latitude.

If you have one and are willing to take a pic of it next to a dvd/game box, I would also appreciate it greatly.

I am curious about how thick this mofo actually is... it looks like a laptank, but the 1"-1.8" are much more portable.

Please, save me from an Alienware m15x fate (but I type in the dark a lot so I may need to hit up a lighted kb mod) and convince me to go for sager! (or the asus Vx2s/g1s

dude, get the silver model of it.

the lid is white I belive don't know if its metal and the strip is silver ;)

I hate the orange look on it. and the wedge shape etc I could go on. but to each his own.

    what do I know I own a fat girl. :D d901c

    sounds exactly what youwant

I have seen all those pics. I spent an hour on google and ask.com looking for a pic of this notebook next to something which could show me its thickness...

please... I need to see the thickness before I pull the trigger.

    Thanks for the pics.

So.. aside from the back the sager is not that noticeably thick? (like many toshibas I have seen which are unholy thick) that actually looks like a very small 17" notebook.

    wow.

Um... hate to ask more, but could you post a pic next to a soda can (so I can compare to the one from the 9262 review)

I just keep getting this image that this laptop will be a garish-laptank.

I like the looks now, and knowing what a d800 looks like (I have a d505, which is dayumn similar), that orange strip seems like it is a deep, very deep orange, and cool.

Wow. I am starting to see why people here start chanting Sager at anyone who posts that they are thinking about Alienware.

Man...to each his/her own...but I really like the Orange/Black trim...it's unique compared to the regular silver/grey or all black of most notebooks..it really is a bad-ass looking machine in person....and no..its not thick...

@ Geforce2go: out of interest does your one have the fingerprint reader? can't really notice it on your photo...

No fingerprint reader - Kobalt decided not to have it after tests, "and have found them to be very unreliable. This is because after using it a few times it becomes very greasy and oily.. as most objects do when you touch them often. Because of this the reader fails to accept any finger print thus making it pretty much useless!"(Quote - andrew@kobalt) Shame really, because it would have been nice to have the choice.

From what I've read so far the fingerprint reader works just fine for many people.

im sure it should be fine, but where i might be getting it from - the fingerprint reader was not present, as it wasn't included, so just wanted to see how it would look without it, and from the image it looks absolutely fine to be fair :)
