I don't think it's dead, I received my notebook today. When I first turned it on it wasn't there. But then later, it showed up. It's green, it goes away and comes back. It flickers every now and but for the most part it doesn't stay. Is it anything I should be worried about?

I would say closely monitor this issue for a couple of days to see if it continues.

In similar situations some have found that it got itself worked out. :)

I had a green pixel flickering intermittently in the lower middle portion of my screen the first week I had this computer, but after using the rubbing/massaging method each time I noticed it, it went away permanently :)
