I purchased an ACER Aspire a while back and I was thoroughly disgusted with it. 900$ with the 1st gen i7 CPU and ATI Mobility Radeon 5650. Anyways, I managed to get a refund for it and now I'm in the market for this NP5175. I am a little hesitant to purchase it because of my past experience. I am planning on using this laptop for gaming purposes. I probably will not be playing the absolute newest games. So, a few questions arise. Is it worth upgrading the cpu from 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM Processor ( 6MB L3 Cache, 2.00GHz) to 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2720QM Processor ( 6MB L3 Cache, 2.20GHz)? I have also read somewhat bad reviews on the Geforce GT 555M. Then I came across the 8130. It comes out to be about 80$ more with a 2630 than the 5175 with the 2720 processor. Is it worth sacrificing screen size and processor power for the gfx card?

EDIT-The 8130 is just a tad bit outside my pricerange but if the gfx card performance increase is large I might consider it. Keep in mind, the 5175 is 1229 with the i7-2720QM and the 8130 is 1299 with the i7-2630QM. I apologize if this seems unorganized. I'm kind of a stickler for value when it comes to large purchases.

For gaming, Intel Core i7-2630QM is enough. The GTX460M is about 30% faster than the GT555M both on stock. But you don't get the battery life on a Sager NP8130 because it does not support optimus and it will not use the integrated GPU. When you choose the NP5175 with a Core i7-2630QM, the difference would be greater than the NP8130. So you decide if that amount is worth 30% better performance and lesser battery life.
