Hello, my Clevo M722T has a problem with the battery since I installed Windows 7, always says "Consider replacing" and go to sleep about 5 minutes.
I think it could be problem of BIOS and I want to update it but I don't know if there is a newest version than I have installed and where to download it because I can´t found nothing about BIOS update in Clevo official page driver downloads.

    Could somebody help me?

My Phoenix BIOS version is: 1.00.11 KBC/EC 1.00.08

    Sorry for my english.
    Thanks.

You generally have to get the BIOS update directly from Sager as they don't make those available for download directly on their site. You can contact them to obtain it, or you can contact your reseller to see if they can get that for you as well.

Thanks for your answer, but Idon't know what relation have Sager with Clevo. In Sager page I can't find a product similiar to my notebook.
My reseller is PC-BOX (from Spain) and they don't support this product because have more than 3 years old.

I apologize for the confusion. Sager builds machines off of the Clevo chassis, and I looked a little to quickly at your post. You should be able to get a hold of Clevo directly and I would assume they can get the BIOS situation sorted out. Here is a link to their contact page on their website.

That message has to do with the way Windows calculates battery life. If it's an older battery, it's probably got a decent amount of wear on it. If you moved up from Windows XP to Windows 7, this was a new feature that they added that once your battery wear hits a certain point, it'll notify you. It's not particularly clear, but you can ignore it if you're getting decent battery life out of it. It's not a sign that you're battery is faulty (just that it's older and that runtime is lower than it's rated for due to wear). A Bios update won't help you though- just a new battery will.

-MALIBAL #2, thanks for your answer, my battery worked fine in Windows XP, but since I installed Windows 7 began to be short-lived (about 8 minutes). In fact, if I disable the devices that control the battery from the control panel, I get a much longer duration (about 45 minutes). Reading in various forums and google searching I have found that many people have had the same problem with their laptops and say that the source can be a communication problem between the OS and the PC's BIOS and possibly updating BIOS could solve the problem (depending on model).

-pkhetan, thanks for your answer, that's the information I was looking for, will download those files and try it and see what happens...

-pkhetan, I have already installed and worked OK.
The notebook works well, the BIOS SETUP says now that is ready for 'Windows Vista/Seven', and the battery seems that runs OK.

-Brett@XoticPC, I finally also managed to send me the files from Clevo through one of the contact addresses of the page that tells me: [email protected]

Thank you very much to all for everything.
