Hey guys, big request. I'm trying to decide on which res to choose and I wasn't able to see any examples at my local stores... stupid futureshop/bestbuy such low end models. the highest res they had was that 1440x900... anyways If you could take some pictures of say a word document open on the screen just so i can see what kinda size i'm dealing with here so that I don't go blind. I will be doing CAD work so i'm leaning towards the higher res but I do want to be able to game as well. I'll be selecting the 8800m GTX for now and if any higher cards are available will choose that ie: 9800m GTX ;) maybe.? please? anyways. If someone could do that for me tonight I'd be super super happy and will give tons of rep.. well as much as one can give.
    Thanks guys!

I'm bumping this because I find it quite interesting as well (also pondering about what resolution to choose) :p

But I think I'm going to go with the 1920x1200. I've heard that it's a bit like a monitor at 1280x1024 (although broader, of course)

    Honestly no :D
You can increase the DPI and fix that man, I keep my notebook at over 3 feet away from me, at WUXGA , and increase the DPI or zoom in on the page with mouse wheel+ctrl.
It's worth it ,games at 1920x1200 look so sharp.

It is working very nicely for me in vista, fonts are as big as in 1680x1050 without getting blur.

Yes, if you're getting the 8800M GTX you will definitely be able to handle games at 1920x1200?.

The 8700M GT is a different story though.

Here are some more pics, if you're interested...

You can copy homework from websites if you want too :)

definately go with 1920x1200 especially if you are doing CAD work.
