Ok I literally just got my new Sager NP5760 laptop. Anyway I am trying to hook up a wireless, external, Logitech VX Revolution 2.4Ghz mouse but absolutely can not do so.

I have followed the Logitech instructions and am doing exactly what they tell me, but still can't get it to work. A message comes up every time that says the USB device has malfunctioned?!

Please help me you guys. I really want to get my external mouse working. Thanks.

    thats strange.

well the full-proof way to add a USB device is by:
    - making sure the notebook is off
    - plug in your USB device
    - power the notebook on
    - Windows should find the device and find drivers for it (if it cant find drivers, let it find it Automatically through your driver CD or internet)

    - the wireless mouse might need to get connected by pressing the connect button on the receiver and the mouse itself

If one port does not work, use another.

uhhh, actually last night somehow i got my mouse to work in a different USB port but now this morning it is doing the same exact thing. i connect the mini wireless receiver to the cordless mouse in a USB port and it will say the device is unknown/it has malfunctioned. and then it will also say that there is no driver installed for the device when there absolutely is.

i have tried everything to get my mouse to work but have still been unsuccessful.

    please help =[

Just to eliminate any doubts about the receiver, do you have another computer to try the USB receiver with? If it happens on another computer, I say you might have a defective receiver.
