I've only seen one stuck pixel on 3 LCDs. I've been reading around the forums and this topic seems to be touchy for some, and not-so-important to others.

SAGER offers a no-dead-pixel-guarantee and I'm sure there are those out there who can't decide whether or not the peace of mind is worth $200.

So please post any experiences that you've had with your SAGER notebooks, whether they be about perfect screens or even one dead or stuck pixel--to give some idea to those who don't know what to do about the "insurance" question in their minds as they contemplate ordering one of these beasts. :decision:

As far as i know, my 5720 didnt come with any dead or stuck pixels, at least none that are bluntly noticable. If I did have any dead pixels i wouldnt want to know about it, because my screen looks jsut fine, and knowing that I had a dead pixel would bother the crap outa me.

Its really the same with anyone else Ive heard that has a Sager. There arent many out there that have had noticable dead pixels on shipping.

My notebook was perfect out of the box; no dead pixels on the WSXGA+ screen.

Personally, I think the "no dead pixel' warranties are a waste of money if you have to pay for them. LCD manufacturing processes have been much improved over the years.

Also on a note on the "No Dead Pixel" warranty.

It is ONLY valid for the 1st 30 days of your laptop purchase.
ALL the highly rated resellers have a 30 day Guarantee of sorts.

So technically, if you get a dead pixel in your laptop you can get a refund if they do not want to replace it IF it is within 30 days of your purchase..

So in my opinion, the $200 for the "30 day No Dead Pixel" guarantee is a waste and could be used for other things.
The "No Dead Pixel guarantee" is just redundant to the resellers "30 Day guarantee".

of course this is my opinion and we will see how it is for me in a weeks time.

    That s*cks.

No dead pixels on mine...WUXGA. I haven't heard too many dead pixel issues with the 9750 WUXGA either.

I would think the bigger issue is actually light leakage on the LCD. Mine has a tad down the bottom but nowhere near as bad as my wife's Dell M170 with the LG LCD. She won't notice...nor fussed about it.
