i may have spilled some liquid on the keyboard. like a DROP. it fell on the down and left arrow keys. Now they either are continuously pressed down, making it scroll all the way up and to the left, or they dont work at all. Wen it first started happening. i shut it down.. removed the keyboard and dried it best i could. Does any1 kno if i can remove individual keys from the keyboard? maybe to re-seat it or something... otherwise i guess i just gotta order a new keyboard for this baby... the D901C.

you can carefully remove the key (with watch repair tools).
try to use a bit of water and a Q-tip under the key area to see if it helps.
if not, then it would be about $50 for a new keyboard. -
now, LUCKILY... and this IS a good thing, the down and left button have seemed to stop altogether. i say thankfully, cuz if they dont stop working, they're OVERworking and i cant do anything cuz its always pushing me to the bottom or the left. This creates an even bigger problem, cuz wen i startup the laptop, all i hear is LOUD BEEPS.. very loud. i know this is a mobo problem, but i think it also happens if you keep pressing a key u shudnt supposed to be on startup. If anybody can confirm this, then that would be nice. Cuz if it isnt the keys making those beeps i kno i have a bigger mobo problem. Scratch that, it hasnt stopped, the scrolling, except wen i hit the right arrow it stops it somehow. the liquid that spilled was milk. do think a qtip with more water would hlep? How would i even get it in that small space?
-
update: removed the keys... cleaned the dried milk stains with q-tip.. not with water, but still no difference.. they act up randomly and now i cant shut my computer off... Cuz if i turn it back on, it just beeps for like a minute RELE loudly. i need a new keyboard.. and i gotta wait till monday to even order it.... hopefully my warranty shud cover.

Warranty doesn't cover user damage... just defective hardware (your hardware wasn't defective).
The beeps are your BIOS telling you that one of your keys is stuck. You milk shorted out the switch. Just drying it may not be enough. If it was water then simply letting it air-dry would fix the problem. The dried milk residue may still be conductive (i.e. like a wire across the switch contacts).
You'll have to use water on that q-tip to fix it. The keys pop on and off -- just be careful like Gophn says. The contact points for the keys are not exposed so you may be out of luck (and $50). -
hmm.. ididnt try water yet... but i will... maybe tomorrow... hopefully the water will work. an yea, im pretty sure milk is conductive which is exactly wat i thought. but by now they have to have shorted altogether... rite now i just took the keys off... and left them off, they're a bi**h to take off and upt back on
Plz help... Keyboard problem BIG
